Bike & Mill 2025: When CAD/CAM meets adrenaline

Bike & Mill 2025: When CAD/CAM meets adrenaline

A look back at two days full of expertise, trail action and team spirit

What happens when dental technicians from all over Germany come together in Upland? That's right: first they talk shop - then they hit the trails. Bike & Mill 2025, the event format organised by dentona and M-Tec tools4cadcam, brings together further training and adventure. Once again this year, it was clear that modern dental technology thrives on dialogue, experience and togetherness.

The event began with a focused specialist programme at the Naturhotel Hochheide in Willingen. Experts from imes-icore, LEVEL5CAD, CIMSystem Deutschland, M-Tec tools4cadcam, GetDent and dentona presented the latest developments in digital dental technology in an understandable, practical and immediately applicable way.

The technical highlights at a glance:

  • Optimised scanning with the IOS from Shining3D
  • Designing the bar work in the CAD software Blender and EXOCAD
  • Correct use of the CAM software make&mill
  • Advantages and disadvantages of an SLM system
  • Billing a bar work with implants

What was noticeable in all topics: high practical benefit and direct relevance for everyday laboratory work. Many participants took away ideas that can be implemented directly in their dental work - from quality assurance to process optimisation.

Bike & Mill 2025

Thinking together. Doing together. Laughing together.

There was also discussion, laughter and "shop talk" outside of the specialist programme. During the breaks, at lunch or at the "Chill & Grill", there were many spontaneous conversations - among colleagues, with the speakers and with the event team. Without sales rhetoric, but with genuine passion for the dental trade. The spontaneous surprise tour in the afternoon of the first day - including a view and trail feeling - provided additional team spirit. In the evening: BBQ, drinks, relaxed atmosphere. Further training can also taste like leisure time.

On the bikes, get set, go!

On the second day, it was off to the Willingen Bike Park - professionally supervised by an experienced trainer. From beginners to bike pros, all participants got their money's worth. And along the way, new contacts, strong connections and conversations were made in a way that rarely happens in a seminar room. The combination of exercise, nature and community created an atmosphere that no online course could ever offer.

Bike & Mill is training that works

Those who came back to the lab from Bike & Mill had more in their luggage than just fond memories:

  • concrete knowledge about new technologies
  • impulses for more efficient processes
  • practical ideas for everyday life - and often: a new perspective on the big picture.

In short: Bike & Mill provides input that pays off - both professionally and personally.
