dentona Expands blank production in Lippendorf by 60 per cent

More capacity for optimill memosplint and memopink

dentona AG is significantly expanding its production capacity for polymer-based milling blanks at its Lippendorf site near Leipzig. By increasing blank production by around 60 per cent, the company is responding to the growing global demand for CAD/CAM milling materials for splints and interim prostheses.

With optimill memosplint and optimill memopink, dentona covers two key application areas in the digital workflow. The thermoelastic material optimill memosplint for bite splints ensures a comfortable fit in the mouth thanks to its memory effect. optimill memopink is used for temporary restorations, for example in (clasp) interim dentures. The flexible material combines stability with adaptability.

With this capacity expansion, dentona is ensuring the long-term availability of these two high-performance materials. The digital fabrication of splints and temporary restorations in particular has become well established in recent years. Consequently, global demands for availability and quality are rising. “We are responding to the growing demand and are also adapting our service levels for large orders to the situation,” says Carsten Wilkesmann (dentona AG). “Reliable delivery structures are just as important to customers as the material quality itself.” 

dentona ’s Lippendorf site specialises in the production of millable blanks. At the same time, dentona dental plasters have been manufactured here for more than 25 years. At its headquarters in Dortmund, dentona develops and produces the 3D printing materials of the optiprint series. With this regional focus on polymer-based materials, dentona is strengthening its supply capabilities in a sector that is becoming increasingly important in digital dental technology.
