d.connect 2026: Future dialogue of dental technology in Dortmund
How is dental technology changing and what does this mean for dental laboratories? This is the question addressed by d.connect, a future dialogue to which dentona invites you to Dortmund on 26 June 2026.
After last year's premiere, the format is entering the next round. The focus will be on topics that are currently affecting many laboratories. "Technological developments, economic pressure and generational change are simultaneously impacting dental technology. Many laboratories are faced with the question of how they can integrate new technologies, further develop teams and at the same time strengthen the craft. d.connect creates a space to talk openly about this," explains Carsten Wilkesmann (dentona AG).
Dr Steffi Burkhardt, futurologist and expert in generational and work culture, focuses on a topic that has long since arrived in companies: changing expectations of collaboration, meaning and development in the workplace. Christian Lang, MDT, shows what consequences this has for dental laboratories. He talks about the reality of many businesses: new technologies, new processes and the challenge of balancing team, profitability, quality craftsmanship and self.
The Meet the Expert sessions will focus on specific applications. Jannick Bade, MDT, will use the example of 3D printing (try-in/mock-up) to show how new production processes can be established economically. Dental technician Noah Ziga will present the workflow for digital prostheses – with respect for the tried and tested and the courage to develop further. A special format is the fishbowl discussion, moderated by Dr Steffi Burkhardt. Here, young dental technicians and laboratory owners discuss expectations of the profession and cooperation between generations as equals.
Instead of frontal lectures, dentona focuses on talks, discussions and personal encounters. d.connect 2026 will take place on 26 June 2026 at dentona in Dortmund. Further information and registration: dconnect.dentona.de
