Biomic™ Stain/Glaze is the first bionic staining layer concept, newly developed by Aidite, to quickly replicate natural teeth with the highest level of aesthetics and minimal effort. Biomic™ Stain/Glaze provides dental technicians with an unrivalled, quick and simple method to complete their work and achieve a dental restoration that is strikingly similar to natural teeth.
The first bionic layering concept offers practitioners the further advantage of being considerably more straightforward and cost-effective than conventional stains. It includes only those colours that are actually used in day-to-day practice. At the same time, there are no limits to the user’s creativity when intensifying individual characteristics (e.g. cervical areas) or imitating effects (mamelons, translucency, etc.). The new Biomic™ Stain/Glaze is designed to replicate the aesthetics of natural teeth using 2D and 3D colour pastes.
A particular highlight of the Biomic™ Stain/Glaze layering concept is its 3D glazes: The resulting mixture offers stability comparable to that of layered ceramic. With just a single firing, a natural aesthetic is achieved which, using conventional layering techniques, would require far greater effort.

optimill ’s partner, Aidite, has a proven track record thanks to its many years of experience in dental consumables and helps to streamline day-to-day work in dental laboratories. Aidite and optimill have jointly developed the optimill 3D PRO Zir, optimised for monolithic restorations using the layer-by-layer system.
The finely adjusted zirconia enables a homogeneous result with a strength gradient and high flexural strength in the cervical region. When used in combination with Biomic Stain / Glaze, all-ceramic restorations achieve a distinctive aesthetic effect using 2D pastes with moderate viscosity and 3D pastes for textural effects, combined in a paint-layer technique. The ‘ optimill ’ 3D Colour Plates are made from the same material as the restoration and show how the colour will appear on the restoration. In combination with the ‘ optimill ’ 3D Shader Matcher colour indicator, made from genuine 3D Pro Zir teeth, any discrepancy in tooth colour is avoided.
