Aidite 3D Pro zir is a highly efficient, premium ceramic material. Behind 3D Pro zir lies a cost-effective, sophisticated concept for the fabrication of fully anatomical crowns and bridges. To enable the reproduction of all standard tooth colours, the blanks are available to the user in 16 shade gradations, corresponding to the VITA Classic shade system. The 3D Pro zir material comprises a total of six layers to simulate a natural shade gradient within the selected shade.

In addition, there is a gradually decreasing translucency gradient, enabling the user to achieve natural translucency in the enamel region, whilst the desired opaque effect is achieved in the cervical region of the tooth. Translucency is 57% in the incisal region and 43% in the cervical region. As a result, Aidite 3D Pro zir offers even higher translucency at the tip than cubic zirconia or glass-ceramics.

Aidite e 3D Pro zir is revolutionary due to the additional variation in strength values within a single zirconia blank. In the tooth body, the flexural strength exceeds 1,100 MPa and then gradually decreases from layer to layer to 700 MPa in the incisal region.

6 layers for a natural colour transition, matching the colour gradation of a natural tooth from the cervical to the incisal region.

The decrease in translucency from 57% in the incisal region to 43% in the cervical region results in a lifelike reproduction of tooth enamel, whilst the lower translucency in the tooth body simultaneously provides the desired opaque effect.

The strength ranges from 700 MPa to 1100 MPa, ensuring optimal hardness in the occlusal area. High strength in the base area enables the fabrication of long-span bridge restorations.

Aidite and optimill have jointly developed the optimill 3D PRO Zir, optimised for monolithic restorations using the layer-by-layer system.

The finely adjusted zirconia enables a homogeneous result with a strength gradient and high flexural strength in the cervical region. When used in combination with Biomic Stain / Glaze, all-ceramic restorations achieve a distinctive aesthetic effect using 2D pastes with moderate viscosity and 3D pastes for textural effects, combined in a paint-layer technique. The ‘ optimill ’ 3D Colour Plates are made from the same material as the restoration and show how the colour will appear on the restoration. In combination with the ‘ optimill ’ 3D Shader Matcher colour indicator, made from genuine 3D Pro Zir teeth, any discrepancy in tooth colour is avoided.
